Enfer Medical announce Double World Swimming Champion and Olympian Daniel Wiffen as an Enfer Medical ambassador

Last month at the National Aquatic Centre Louis Ronan and Jonny Finnegan from Co Kildare business Enfer Medical joined world swimming champion Daniel Wiffen to announce that Enfer Medical is supporting and sponsoring Daniel for the rest of the year.

Daniel is a swimmer from Northern Ireland who will be competing for Ireland in the swimming pool at this year’s  XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris. Earlier this year Daniel won the 800 and 1500 metres freestyle at the 2024 World Championships in Qatar. It was the first time a male Irish swimmer had become a world champion. Daniel also holds the 800 metres freestyle short course world record with a time of 7.20.46.

Louis Ronan said today

“We are delighted to team up with Daniel on what has already been a huge year for him being crowned World Champion and what we hope will be a memorable summer for him in a pool in Paris. We look forward to welcoming Daniel to our facility in Kildare in September where hopefully he will be weighed down with even more medals!”

The sponsorship allows me to come and train here this week off my own bat safe in the knowledge that I don’t have  to be concerned about funding this training week. This support from Enfer Medical allows me to fully concentrate on the job at hand which is simply to be in the best shape of my career for Paris and to give myself every chance to medal at Paris”.

The team at Enfer Medical will be paying particular attention to the pool at Saint Denis, a stones throw from Stade de France, a Parisienne sports location known to many Irish sports fans and will be willing Daniel to victory.
