In addition to the SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test, the gold standard test for detecting viral SARS-CoV-2 RNA, we have also introduced a number of qualitative and quantitative assays for the determination of IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in human serum.
In 2021, Enfer Medical also introduced its Whole Genome Sequencing service, and continues to support the National Strategy for COVID-19 Sequencing in Ireland, providing rapid, high-throughput genomic testing capabilities for patient management and molecular epidemiology.
